Check their mineral status 

• Ensure your herd’s mineral balance is right, don’t spend money on unnecessary minerals, provide your cows with the right mix for their needs. 

Prevent illness – vaccinate

• Rotavirus 
• Salmonella 
• Lepto 

Know the specific risk to your herd and take appropriate action.

Give your future herd the best start  - plan for success by developing protocols before calving begins.

Keep a record of your cows’ lameness status  and consider preventative hoof trimming.
