“Our industry is in great hands with these enthusiastic and talented graduates! I was extremely privileged to lead the recent SuperGrad Day, an initiative run by Anexa Vet Services to support Veterinarians in the practical transition of their first and second year of practice. Fun, learning, sharing, and growing were the day’s focus.
A massive thank you to the Veterinary Practices that supported your graduates to attend, The Boat Shed Cafe for the beautiful food and venue. Ian Robertson, Crystal L., Katrina Roberts and Hanneke van Kooten, thank you for your fantastic presentations – your support and enthusiasm are appreciated!
I am looking forward to the fourth and final SuperGrad day for 2022! Planning for 2023 is coming up shortly; if you would be keen to support this initiative, please get in touch.”
The SuperGrad programme is four days of continued professional development spread throughout the year. It is designed for new and recently graduated veterinarians and has been running in its current format since 2008. Each day includes a range of speakers covering topics that will be relevant in practice over the upcoming months. While the primary focus of the clinical components of the course is seasonal production animal medicine and surgery, we also cover small animal and equine topics, emergency medicine, herd health investigations, and non-clinical skills such as communication and legal responsibilities.
