Sharing knowledge key to Anexa veterinarians culture and collective success

Jul 19, 2022 | News, Working at Anexa

At Anexa Vet Services, we value the sharing of knowledge. Our vets regularly come together to share new research, experiences, resources and their passion for all things veterinary. In addition to external continuing professional development, Anexa also offers staff in-house topic-based workshops, where colleagues with a particular interest host a workshop.

Workshops are held in person and via Zoom. They include a teaching and practical component, and the team always make time to share case studies and experiences. Often the group find themselves sharing the different ways they approach situations, recent research and new techniques. Veterinarians of all experience levels highly value discussions that take place and enjoy contributing to Anexa’s collective knowledge base.

To kick off this spring calving season, we held several team workshops discussing difficult calvings, practical fetotomy techniques, transition cow management and down cow care.

Fetotomy Workshop, Veterinarian Emma Bullock shares practical strategies with the team.

“It’s great to have these opportunities to continuously upskill and have people experienced in many different areas coming in giving tips and tricks and up to date information about all sorts of subjects, it’s a definite benefit refreshing your knowledge as well as picking up new skills and ideas.”

Herd Health Veterinarians, Katrina Roberts and Andy Collier host an Anexa staff workshop sharing local knowledge on transition cow management. Half their colleagues attend in person and half via a Zoom call.

Anexa Value: Sharing knowledge, respecting our differences, and embracing collaboration.
