Every year, the New Zealand Veterinary Association (NVZA) recognises significant accomplishments, exemplary leadership, and tireless commitment within the veterinary community through their prestigious NZVA Awards.
We’re excited to announce Anexa won the inaugural Community Engagement Award. In collaboration with School Kit, in 2024 we launched Story Vets – a fully-funded, free-to-schools education resource aimed at Year 4 – 8 students to support key parts of their curriculum and attract young people into the veterinary industry.
So far, Story Vets has reached 500 teachers and 16,000 students (aged 8 – 13). With the kits being used in the classroom for students to complete ‘vet school’ by specialising in dogs, horses, cows, or chickens, and then by using the available data, students can eliminate potential diagnoses and make a correct diagnosis for their patients.
Learn more about how Story Vets works in the classroom, and what students, teachers, and parents are saying about the initiative.
