Anexa Veterinary Services are a group of veterinary clinics across the Waikato and Hauraki Plains, providing services to dairy and sheep and beef farmers and family pets. Each clinic is unique, but at Anexa, we are one team. Animal health and proactive customer service is at our core.
About the role
We are looking for a Commercial /Payroll Analyst to cover maternity leave for 12 months on a part time basis. The hours are around 25-30 per week based from our Morrinsville office.
You will play a key role in supporting our finance team from an accounting and financial perspective.
Reporting to the General Manager Finance, this diverse role will involve:
- End to end Payroll
- Monthly management of accounts and reporting
- Transactional process of accounts payable & accounts receivable
- Supporting with statutory compliance e.g. GST, PAYE, FBT
- Business and Data Analysis and reporting
- Report & dashboard development
- Business process improvement reviews
- Creditor management
- Support accounting preparation

About you
The ideal candidate will:
- Have demonstrated experience in end to end Payroll
- Be driven, engaged and proactively look for opportunities to apply a strong critical thinking ability to make improvements & solve business problems
- Have great time management, and prioritise daily tasks and projects
- Have strong communication and collaboration skills
- Always demonstrate attention to detail
- Have a good understanding of accounting concepts and standards
- Have completed a bachelor’s degree related to finance i.e. Business, Commerce etc
System experience preferred but not essential:
- IMS Payroll
- MYOB Advanced
- Competent excel user around formulas and data analysis
- Power BI or other reporting and dashboard development suites
- Competent Microsoft office suite user
