About the role

The role is 42.5 hours per week 8.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday-Friday, with the potential of one late start & finish per week.

The Clinic Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day operational responsibility and accountability of the clinic, coordinating, organising, and supervising the activities of the companion animal and large animal team. Coordinating the team to implement our business-wide companion animal and large animal strategies and goals to a high standard, while looking after the team, with the support of the leadership team is at the core of this role.

The main duties involve being on the front counter taking bookings, greeting clients, selling flea & worm products, advising on nutrition, taking payments, reconciling the banking at end of day, and generally being the ‘go to’ person in the clinic for the team.

This role will suit someone with experience in the veterinary industry, an experienced customer service representative/leader or a reception savvy vet nurse looking to develop or use their skillset in clinic coordination and leadership.

You will be responsible for:

    • Delivering an exceptional customer experience to all clients and setting a high standard for the rest of the team.
    • Coordinate the customer services and increase sales in the retail area.
    • Maintaining an overview of administrative functions for the clinic – including banking, inventory control, stocktake preparation, month end processes.
    • Maintaining overall responsibility and accountability for the clinic’s Health and Safety requirements.
    • Coordinate leave and cover requirements of the clinic team.
    • Supporting the marketing activity of the clinic.
    • Conduct and implement any actions as agreed at clinic meetings.
    • Implement Anexa wide initiatives.
About you

Ideally an experienced leader, vet nurse, frontline customer service person or administrator looking for a career change, or an experienced Clinic Coordinator looking for an exciting new opportunity.

Must be used to working in a fast moving environment, a great communicator, able to prioritise, deliver outstanding customer service to our clients, and able to delegate tasks.

What we are looking for in our Clinic Coordinator:

  • Compassionate and able to lead by example.
  • Dedication to a high level of patient, client, and team care.
  • Proactive approaches to the management of clinic administration and looking after staff.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with the wider team from other clinics.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Love to make a positive difference in all areas of your work.
  • A quick thinker, and confident decision maker is desirable, and the ability to ask for assistance when needed.

NZ farming experience is beneficial but not essential in this role.

You will be ready to join a fun and supportive team, make a difference where it counts, have a great sense of humour and be committed to animal, client and team care.
