Learn how to find & fix lame cows

A severe case of lameness can cost $450 to $500 per cow! Save time, money and stress by
learning how to identify and treat lame cows early.

Answers to these burning questions and more…

? Why does it feel like there’s more lameness following rainfall?

? When do antibiotics successfully cure lameness and when do they not?

? What are the most common causes and how do I identify and treat them?

? We don’t have a cow crush – what are my options for restraint? And how do I restrain a cow?

? I’m not confident with a hoof knife – how do I know how far to go and what damage I can do?

? What can I do to prevent lameness?

? I think I know what causes lameness on my farm, but I’m not sure what to do to fix it – who can help and what will this cost?

Our goal is for you to leave this workshop with as much confidence as possible to tackle lameness on your farm. We will show you how to identify the different lesions, then you will have the opportunity to try out your skills with guidance from one of our vets.
