“Like all New Zealanders, we are saddened by the destruction and harm the recent heavy rainfall and cyclone Gabrielle has caused throughout Northland, Auckland, Tairāwhiti, Bay of Plenty, Waikato, Hawke’s Bay and the Tararua District. Our hearts go out to those who have been affected.

During the monthly Anexa Board meeting held on Wednesday, 22nd February, the Board discussed the difficulties the affected rural communities face and agreed to donate $15,000 to Rural Support Trust on behalf of the Anexa Vet Club.

The Board also approved a further $5,000 to help veterinary professionals support cyclone-affected areas. Tennielle Ellingham, General Manager of Clinical services, in consultation with the New Zealand Veterinary Association, will manage the distribution of these funds.

As the clean-up continues across New Zealand, we encourage those who can give to do so.”
