Working at a vet clinic, we have many kindness warriors. When your day-to-day job involves caring for and attending animals, kindness is highly valued, and a characteristic we can proudly attribute to all our staff. So, when we saw it was Random Acts of Kindness Day on the 1st September it was the perfect opportunity to celebrate our values and our people across our clinics. We did this by encouraging staff to share some of the kindness they had experience working at Anexa. Here are some of the things they had to say:
“Renee is one of the kindest souls I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet! Gentle and kind with all animals and caring and patient to all staff! Always makes a special effort after a rough day to do a round up to check in that everyone is ok! Brings coffees and snacks when most needed! She is the Queen of kindness!”
“Sarah L is always willing to answer my million questions when I phone for help – I really appreciate it”
“Cassandra made the team delicious cupcakes – what a treat! Yum.”
“Alaina saw that a team member was having a busy day out on-farm, so she kindly got him a coffee. #itsthelittlethings
We had an incredibly busy day at the clinic, with many unexpected consults that needed attending to. Without a second thought Janice jumped in and sorted out the washing for the day, an extra on top of her normal job.
Arnica made and took a Dutch Apple Pie to one of our client’s mothers this morning, so thoughtful.
Vet Georgie, no matter what the day throws at us Georgie quietly and calmly works away through the load with a smile. I see her clean kennels, mop the shop floors and everyday she asks customer service and nurse staff if she can help in anyway. You’re a bloody gem Georgie.
We were short staffed on Friday so our amazing Heather stepped in and not only did all the laundry for the day, but gave the laundry room a total spruce up.
“Sarah D showed kindness helping the fabulous LA tech Karina learn how to do blood slides and pcv tests.”
Brooke brought the team in a delicious rainbow cupcake she had baked to share for morning tea – delicious and pretty!
I had several customers lined up at the front counter and Richard stepped in as he was walking past and started serving our clients. He sold the drugs and even had to mix up the 2 doses of lamb vaccine for a client. Richard always helps out and our team out the front really appreciate him.
I had just started at Anexa and needed some help, Carrie answered her phone at 7:30pm on a Friday night to help me find product at the clinic and walking me through how to add to the order over the phone.
“When another Vet was busy in her consults Sarah D stepped up to help out with their patients, taking her next consult that arrived so they didn’t get behind.” #teamwork
